Best NCAA Basketball Player Prop Bets for Today (With Reasoning)
Let’s explore the reasoning behind our best college basketball props today, March 14:
Total Points: Jase Richardson (MSU) Over 15.5 (-120)
The Oregon Ducks and Michigan State Spartans meet in a huge Big Ten Tournament matchup this afternoon. Oregon has their backs up against a wall, but this is March and anything can happen this time of the year!
I’m most confident in Michigan State guard Jase Richardson having a quality performance against the Ducks. Richardson has been a spark plug for the Spartans and is likely in for a big showing in the NCAA Tournament and versus Oregon today.
Jase Richardson — ESPN's No. 12 ranked prospect — has taken his game to another level, ramping up his aggressiveness while maintaining stellar efficiency. His pace, skill, feel for the game, and shot-making prowess give him an outstanding framework to build off long-term. pic.twitter.com/BHpyPfaePc

The 6’3” freshman from Denver is coming off back-to-back standout performances against Iowa and Michigan. Richardson notched 22 points in a 91-84 win over the Hawkeyes, and then followed up with 18 points to down the Wolverines, 79-62.
He’s an incredibly efficient shooter, which has led to a 52.4% field goal percentage this season. The Spartans had the training wheels on Richardson early in the season, but he’s been allowed to shoot now.
Note that Richardson didn’t finish in the double-digits in field goal attempts until Feb. 8! Now, he’s breached that mark in seven of the last nine games, so he has developed into a focal point.
Total Points: Kobe Johnson (UCLA) Under 7.5 (-115)
In another Big Ten Tournament matchup, the Wisconsin Badgers and UCLA Bruins tip off this afternoon. Senior UCLA guard Kobe Johnson’s total is a tad too high in this matchup against the Badgers.
He enters averaging 7.9 points per game on 46.1% shooting from the field. Johnson isn’t known for being a volume shooter. The former USC Trojan is averaging just 6.2 field goal attempts per game this season! He has taken only 11 shots through the last three games combined.
During that stretch, Johnson scored just a total of 12 points, for an average of four points per contest. Since Feb. 23, Johnson is averaging just 3.75 points per game. I don’t see him having a huge impact on this game, so consider the under for your college basketball player props!
